Jurgen's BigRuckus sticker theme--I'll be the only one that gets it. But that is par for the course.

Well, craptards. Dropped by the dealer to peek at one. The 06's aren't in and they have no idea when. Could be a week, could be two months. Every scooter on their lot has sold thanks to the gas debacle lately. They said it was amazing how many of them have gone out the door! So, yeah, this means no older 05's in stock anywhere.

No ruckus for me! Give it another month or two, and hope they don't sell out before I can rush to the dealer...

stella-related, not Big Ruckus...but thought it was a cool post. I'm not sure what year stella he's got but they came out in '03. Remember that it's a 25 year old bike.

From Stellaspeed:

Quote:

36,000 miles!

Well,

Still on original cruciform, clutch. Rear brake pads. Shifter cables and rear brake cable. Original front rotor.

I have replaced due to wear: tires twice (I rotate). Clutch cable once. Speed-o cable twice. Front brake pads once but they are right at 1mm now!

Maint issues: High beam wire too short and pulled apart in fourth, I repaired it because I am like that! Just soldered an extension wire on it! Horn wire pulled out of set screw, that just happened this past summer.

My faults!: Toasted the crank from lack of oil at 10,000 miles due to running the tank dry (long story!) Holed a piston around 12,000 running WOT drafting a truck on the tollway! 1/2" hole in the piston crown, pretty impressive!

Modifications: P2 primary gear for increase in top speed, 24/24G carb, had a Sito+ then a Zirri pipe. Was recently lent a JL pipe from a buddy who blew up his PX. Ported the stock barrel to as close to Pinasco specs as I dared! WOW!

I have beat and pounded this bike for almost three years. Everyday, in snow, rain and extreme heat. Rode to MI after only putting on like 2000 miles. Ride to and from work daily, round trip is almost 40 miles.
Two up riding with me at 180+ and my wife at 130. WOT! Stella takes it.
I have buried speed-o and stood her on the front tire.

You guys all need to start riding! Have FUN!

Duane

Damn fun little things.

I've been watching that one. Typical for this type of auction, the seller has the reserve price jacked up to more than you can just go and buy one of these new for off the dealer's lot.
