You know what's nice!?... Is that you hang out with your brother!! A few pages back there is a great pic of a TDM which has had the conversion done.

TDM850 accessories

After 2 months and a thousand dollars of new and used parts, I have my 1993 TDM850 running. I am looking for sources for accessories for this bike. Does anyone have info on centerstand, engine guard, or taller windscreen for this model? SW motech has stuff, but for later years. Would appreciate any help.

I had a clearview windscreen +6 inch and didn't like except in calm weather. Givi may still make them. I have been told that the post 96 center stand will work but have no personal knowledge. I just ordered an engine bar here:http://www.revsperformance.com/renntec/engine_bars.htm and was told the first one they ever sold in the US. We will see.
I currently have a +2 from:http://www.bikescreen.com/proddetail...amahaTDM850Std I ordered one with a flip up. while it works well there were fitment issues accomodating the flip portion as it left a small gap at the bottom. Expensive and you have to drill your own mounting holes too. I also mounted DR 650 pegs a little fililing on the sides and drill out the mounting holes they fit well. They are small so I added another band of 1/4 strap around the outside to lengthen them.

And? Still curious to see how you tucked it into the left side...

Masterbrewer's at it again

South Australian Adventure Riders (SA ADV Riders) organised their first get together at Melrose, a small country town at base of Mount Remarkable in the southern Flinders Ranges some 250kms north of Adelaide.

Here's the fun

next question

I rode my new to me '93 TDM850 at night for the first time last night. I was a bit underwhelmed with the headlight. I guess I looked at the big round duals and expected more. I know it came with 35W bulbs stock, previous owner put some aftermarket bulbs in. I assume they are more powerful, but I haven't pulled them out yet to see.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done any improvements to their headlights, or added aux lights.

I replaced my 900's H7 halogen bulbs with HID units. Very happy with the results.

Hid

Thank you, twinrider. I was looking at ebay yesterday for HID kits. Some are really cheap, many seem to ship from China or other asian country. If anyone has put a bixenon type HID kit on a 850, would love to hear about it.
