I forked out for quality Japanese-made units. Not cheap but quality never is. They should be reliable and long-lasting.

I've got one now

After looking at many different "Adventure" bikes, I found this TDM for sale by a local guy. It came set up with full Givi's, Corbin seat, grip warmers, Ohlins rear and Gold valve front. I just swaped on a set of Avon Distanza tires. The windscreen is an adapted touring screen from my Bandit 1200.

The thing is absolutly great on dirt roads and it just flat out rails on twisty pavement. Although it takes a little work to get the engine on power, it's way more fun than my Busa.

Yes, that my buddy's FZ1 (on the right) that he rode for 15 miles on this forest road outside of Placerville, CA (Mosquito Road)

for the americans lusting aftyer a liter sized par twin kawasaki is going to a release a 1000cc par twin......like the 650, they seem to be doing a good job of offering a comparable alternative to the suzuki line up, they have the sv650 alternative now, in parallel, in dual sport, naked and faired, and then im guessing when they come out with the 1000 it will be the same, silly not too.

These pics were taken on Memorial Day, so it could have been me. Does the bike look familiar?
