Byob - Two up

We have been waiting for this since the snow was on the ground. This is our first multi - day distance trip 2 up.

Royalton Vt to Galeton Pa.

We didn't have a lot of time off but did manage to skip work at Noon on Thursday. We spent the previous week packing so we hit the road.

Bennington Monument.

Tomhannock Reservoir, Troy NY.

I actually found this place on line a few days before. Jefferson NY. Why not right?

Kind of a dump of a Hotel but the Restaurant was damn good. The Yuengling on tap was a good warm up for Pa.

The oldest cemetery in town was down the street.

Friday

The next morning found us at the Breakfast Club. The other business in town. Truly amazing fair.

We found our way along some great secondary roads.

Even found some dirt.

I think we found it.

The evening pretty much whent down hill from her.

Saturday.

More riding. Lets go!

The Grand canyon of Pa.

Cool but somewhat over sold.

Went to the Austin Dam.

Hoagie claims of greatness were suspect.

Things are tough in down town Austin.

But the have a bar!

This saw mill was wiped out along with everything below the 8 mile flood path

THe dam itself is pretty amazing.

Saturday, part II

We meat up with Mitch and crew. His local knowledge led us on a great ride.

Flood control dam.

Apparently a cager reported Motorcycles on the dam. It wasn't me!

Vintage Alco on the rails.

Sunday, the return trip.

This was the long one. 380 miles.

7:20am, Tioga Railroad.

Mostly slab, Binghamton to Albany. We hit Troy NY and stopped at the Bennington Battlefield which is actually in NY.

Nearly there, a little local dirt to warp things up.

Drying the tent and washing the bike.
