My Scooters

Thought that I would share my scooters with everyone.

We found the little 1989 Elite E sitting for sale on the side of the highway outside a motorcycle dealership. It made me smile so we bought it. The engine was in pathetic shape so the first order of business was to upgrade with an 87cc stroker engine, expansion pipe and new carb. The end result is a scary fun ride that can hit 60mph on a good day. It weighs 119 lbs.

Scooter #2 is a 2005 Zuma that we just finished putting an Athena 70cc big bore kit into. We are in the midst of doing the final tuning on it, new clutch springs and rollers. It has a Zenzen expansion chamber and a Oko 21mm carb installed. So far the power band has increased considerably and I'm looking forward to riding it this summer.

I was really glad to see the extensive scooter forum on ADV along with dual sports and off road bikes.

kind of regretted selling my last one. black is my favorite color on the morph's so when this one showed up about two hours away had to go get it. peeled off some silly pinstripes the old boy put on it, shot it with a little blue ice wax, and was ready to go. saw an indicated 80mph on it yesterday on I-70.

I just rode the 200 miles down our "highway" (bumpy, gravel-strewn pot-holed goat-track) sitting on 80 on my old Vmax.......

Damn I gotta get a 400 Burgman or Downtown or Piaggio X-Evo or something. What's the point of a dragbike if you can't walk when you get to the track?

We don't get Morphous over here, but just how comfortable is that sled anyway?

I think I'm getn old.
*sigh*

comfy enough to ride all day. will cruise at 65 all day long. i just like the looks of them. some punter at the gas station i stopped at on the way home saw it in the back of my tundra asked " what is that a snowmoble?" i've got an eight foot bed and it filled it bow to stern.
in all honesty its an around town, errand runner for me. if i want to take a all day trip or pound out some miles i've got a 99 dyna glide sport for that.
