Not gonna happen. Her husbands a local cop and I'm still on his good side. I'm not gonna mess that up.

Imagine this photo

Wish I would have had my camera, so you will just have to imagine this photo.

I stopped my 650 Burgman at the Post Office to pick up my mail this afternoon. Came out, and was standing next to the bike putting on my helmet and gloves when a young lady and a small boy (maybe 3 or 4 years old) got out of the car parked next to me. The boy looked at the scooter and immediately covered both ears! (I had not even started the bike yet) He still had them covered as he walked all the way up to the PO door. Too many Burgmans with straight pipes got him scared, huh.

Seen in Terni, Italy. My first ride was identical except mine was new in 1970 when I was 12 and it was bright orange. My mother loved motorcycles and was determined to teach me to enjoy them too.
The owner called out, want to buy it?
he forgot about it in his cellar for thirty years, pulled it out cleaned the fuel system and rides it to his pizza parlor daily. Not For Sale.

I feel the same same way about my P200.

Hey, welcome to ADV! I can't see your pic, but you'll get that sorted out later.

Congratulations on the new scoot, these smaller bikes are alot of joy.

...what caught my attention to your post was Dunkirk. My dad was from Falconer. So growing up I heard all the stories of Jamestown, Dunkirk, Lake Chautauqua, etc. I still have never seen the area, but I have a good picture in my mind from my dad's stories. He passed a few years back, but thanks for bringing me back to some great memories.

Thank you! It is amazing how many people from around the country have their roots in Chautauqua County and the rest of Western NY. It is definitely a pretty area, but the reason so many people left in years gone by is the same reason people continue to move out, lack of jobs and high taxes. I am one of the lucky ones, but I realize, when my time comes to an end at this job, I will be back on my way out as well. Definitely a great place to visit and spend some time with nature though!

I haven't been scooting much these days - too damn busy. I really do miss it ... so I took the Ruckus down to see some boats this afternoon.

I envy people who get to ride year round.

A few pics.
