First photo, scoot on the left. A Minty green Vespa ET4. There it is!

opps.... missed that. Was that the Stella that you did the labotomy on ? I think you were looking to sell her last year. Did you keep her. Any mods slated for the winter ?

That's the one...not really too many more mods to do on it...It's all modded out. I might pull off the whitewalls for a better tire, but I'm not sure.

I do have a 1970 Vespa Sport 50 on the way though...that'll be my winter project.

Eh?

This is my '06 Piaggio BV 500 - my second scooter. My first was 2002 Aprilia Scarabeo 150cc. I sold the Aprilia in Sept. I've been pleased with both bikes and used them for in-town commuting to work about 1.5 miles from my home as well as any errand running. The Aprilia got about 65-70 mpg - the Piaggio more around 50-55 mpg. With the jump in gas prices I saw a lot more scooters being ridden around town this summer. We even have a scooter club in town called The Minions - and they scoot. I only rode with them once this last summer and when the group went through downtown Spokane at about 8PM on a Friday night people just stared, and pointed and laughed and smiled. It was great fun. Most of the members of the group have Vespas. One guy had a small japanese two cycle 50cc that he'd tricked out to be 70cc. Had a small banner with japanese characters around the front fairing - told me it meant "fighting spirit". I like the Scarabeo and the Piaggio because of the 14 and 16" tires and the power to get safely up and down the hills without topping out the capability. Both a pleasure to ride - but I really fell in love with the Piaggio and knew that the Aprilia would not get much use to justify keeping it....so I passed it on to a guy that works where I do - only problem with that is he now parks in "my" parking space.....

Derbi GP1. It is all stock(at the moment) but I have plans for it this winter .

I was in Colorado in October to visit and do some fly-fishing (and eat some Sushi Den sushi), and on our way back from Deckers we saw these dudes near Evergreen:

Zoomer and a runestone.

This runestone was raised in the 10th century.

The runestone was raised by some brothers in the honor of their father.

The checkered business is checkered tape.
