It's crazy, almost like living up north again, but here everything shuts down when it snows.

I hear ya'. Down here (Raleigh) a few rogue snowflakes shuts us down. I'm surprised that we're on the other side of that dividing line--a few degrees, a little bit more moisture, and we'd be clobbered.

I might take the Stella out next time it snows (hope it does). I'm a little chicken to play with the Super9 in the snow because of all the plastic. The stella already has a ding or two on one cowl so it's been broken in already.

Looks like a '78 or 79...the last year they made them. It surely could be the true mileage. My '79 has 1900 miles on it. 1800 I put on last summer. Truth. Many of these old things have low mileage. They've been buried in a barn since the '80s.

But, as everyone knows, it's damn easy to set back the odometer on these. Unbolt the speedo cable at the wheel, chuck up a drill set in reverse, and run it.

I still think it's legit...

My buddy suggested I post this picture. It was taken down at Cades Cove near Gatlinburg. It's a one-way, 8-mile primitive road with about a dozen water crossings. It puts you out right in the middle of Tail of the Dragon down at Deal's Gap, NC. The most fun I have ever had on my scooter!
