Honda S65

I picked this up in January. It is a 1967 Honda S65 with 1405 miles. I will commute on it as it is plated and insured. (4.5 miles)

It doesn't have a battery. It starts on about the 4th kick. Am I doing it harm by not having a battery?

Sweet ride! I used to have a Honda S90 and really regret getting rid of it.

Very, very nice!

Based on what I'm (re)learning about the Cub's, they run off the magneto and mine at least, only need the battery for the horn and brakelight. Everything else runs off the mag.

Yup! The battery is also the regulator, kind of. No battery, and they will eat headlight bulbs like candy. The original ones are crazy expensive, so if you haven't, i recommend the Dr. ATV conversion. It's the same price as an original headlight, but you can replace the bulbs. For liek $25, you can get a new headlight and about 3-4 extra bulbs.

AND KEEP THAT BATTERY CHARGED!

I rode my Honda Wave 110 all over the Philippines, power is adequate but the suspension isn't, still its a nice bike, way better than my first C90 Honda back in the late 60's, , ,
