I'd like to go! Do I reserve a cabin here or on the website?
If someone has a bed in their cabin, I'll take it.
My email is ronbernert@gmail.com Phone is 513-518-8188

Cool! Got my cabin, ready to go! Thanks Wayne!

Does anyone know if there are trees suitable for hammocks? I might be able to make this and bring my old CT 90 if I get it running and the trailer tire fixed. I really like Tellico Plains.

Excellent trees for hammocks - if the creek don't rise.....

The good news is that's only happened once to our group since starting the Fall Rally tradition back around 2006.

And that wasn't even the high water shot.

Actually that was a freak occurrence, the creek hardly ever approaches the top of its banks. The flood took only about an hour or so to rise enough to reach the pavilion, then only about another hour to recede back to near normal.

I won't say it was raining hard, but during the storm I rode up to Sweetwater and back, and where the locals are usually flying 55+ in the rain on the four lane stretches, traffic was flowing more like 45mph.

Someone has a pic of Boojum picking up his whole tent and heading for higher ground. IIRC, I also moved mine later just because I was set up in the main runoff from the big hill the office/lodge are on.

All of those trees in the background are along the creek...that is usually 2-3 feet down. We were all talking about how crazy Mark was to go on that trip to the underground lake...we had one above ground at the campground... Boojum's tent was right next to the tree on the far right.

It wasn't all bad though...

Plenty of great trees for hammocks!

Philip, that sign is lacking..... In my old riding grounds in middle GA, one land owner had the rest of the story: Trespassers will be shot; Survivors will be prosecuted.

And no, I didn't test the warning. I've heard bullets whiz past my head before when out riding as a teenager in open public lands.
