Are the GPX tracks available somewhere?
If these tracks are being shared, I'd really like to add to them by documenting camp spots, amenities and optional routes..

Well done, Greg...
Not only did Greg provide an excellent route (with some bonus obstacles), he also provided nearly dust-free riding with almost no rain, There were several cooking demonstrations, surprise food deliveries, a lesson on how to acquire beer when the nearest store was 40 miles away, a demonstration on pannier repair, a lesson on how to repair plastic with nothing other than a hot nail and zip tie, a scavenger hunt that included looking for the most unexpected item in the dark, how to set up a tent in 3 seconds, how to comfortably ADV camp on a KLR with no luggage other than a milk crate, and in my group... team bike lifting.. (KLRs are Heavy..)
I'm probably forgetting a few things, but I'm sure everyone else will chime in..
This should become a yearly event!!

Here's a few pics from the weekend.

Greg, going over the route with us Friday night..

Breakfast at Logger's Landing..

Stopping at the High Steel Bridge.

Saturday night, around the campfire..

Greg swears this gate was open a couple weeks ago..

One of Greg's cooking lessons. (Fortunately, he made enough to share... Mmmm...)

Sunday night at Rialto beach..

And our fearless leader, helping with bike repair..

Adam made a great video with some highlights...
Adam and Ashley were in front of the group most of the weekend, even though they had the heaviest bikes!

That's a great video, Adam.
Even tho I said "a GS1200 is not a dirt bike.", You proved me wrong..

Thank you!

I had so much fun! This really was a great weekend and I am sad that it might be 9 or 10 months before we can do it again.

Me and the GS are always ready try new things that are "not big bike friendly " I like to push it beyond the expected terrain. I would like ride to a smaller WR just to see the difference.

I would have liked to have gone on this ride but I was down doing the obdr. Were any reroutes required to the map above?

Thanks!

Some slight re routes due to unforeseen gate closures but for the most part that's it. Not sure what the plan is with the GPX files but Greg (maddaddy) is the holder of the files.

Oh, C'mon Greg. September and October are some of the best riding months in the PNW. When my "broken wing" is better, I'll show you some of the stuff we missed like this plane wreck. The route took us just a few miles away from it..

The route we rode was just a little different than the map. One section is also closed from 9/1-5/1, so you couldn't follow it as posted. But with some map skills, you'd manage ok..

Dave at GripTwister tours has put a lot of time into an off road 550 mile loop around the peninsula. He is always on top of route update and conditions as well. I'd look him up as he is a awesome person as well as a great resource.

I see Red made it. I like the yearly event idea, perhaps even more. Breakfast at the 'Double L' always hits the spot. Nice report and thanks.
