Thanks for the info. It sounds like the motor should be as good (or better) than new. I've got a new exhaust and a race ECU on order, and will get the bike re-tuned before riding. I'm anxious to see ride but want to wait until it's 100% ready. I'm debating whether to install a Rekluse clutch. I have one on my Husky TE310R and I'm spoiled.

I think I bought the 2015 WR250f from Bohn Cycles that you talked about blowing up on this forum back in June. I got a good deal on it and was hoping you could give me some detailed info on your motor rebuild. I wanted to verify what parts you did or did not replace (ie. crank bearings, piston, connecting rod, head, valves, etc.). Also, is the ECU stock? Any information will be helpful. Thanks!!

I did not rebuild the bike so the details might be a bit murky. As far as I know the head was rebuilt with new guides, valves, seats, seals. A big bore cylinder and piston kit. The bottom end crank, con rod, oil pump, along with the cam bearing surfaces was inspected and deemed to be OK by a machine shop. The ECU is the stock non programmable one.
