I started riding three wheelers and dirt bikes as a teenager outside Buffalo, NY. I didn't ride again until my thirties when I finally got my motorcycle license in Colorado. I began with dual sports, got heavily into off road, tried a couple street bikes, eventually started adventure touring, and even did a couple trips to Mexico.

- Central America by Scooter - Living the Dream!
I moved to Roatan, Honduras in 2014. I bought a Yamaha Crypton 110cc scooter. I rode it on the mainland of Honduras, through Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
Touring on a bike not meant for touring is a lot of fun. It's a new perspective on motorcycling for me. I really enjoy the slower pace and closer connection with the people, places, and countryside I encounter in Central America!
In 2017 I bought a Yamaha YBR125G. It's a huge step up from the Crypton. I looked forward to finishing Central America on it (I still need to ride in Panama and El Salvador), as well as exploring southern Mexico.
