Barb and I just got back from our Colorado trip. Did Yampa Bench, Island Park, and a few others. Fantastic ride and beautiful country. I'm planning on doing a ride report soon. Thanks Tony and DP for showing the way.

Just spent a couple weeks riding Utah, Arizona, Colorado and Wyoming with my wife on a National Parks tour. Our trip, including the out and back took us through a lot of the country this ride covers and every day I told her "I have to come back and do the Forever West ride". She had no idea what I was talking about but I am re-reading this report for the umpteenth time and will put it in the list for next fall.

Why do all the signs naming the town, list the elevation?

That's for winter driving. More elevation, worse weather. In winter they will give the freezing levels for snow. If your town is above that, you get to enjoy winter more.

Without having to go through all 56 pages (which I will do, slowly), is the track for this ride posted somewhere?
