Helping a friend with a service on his RT. Is it the same as my GS? Valves, ABS, TBs, etc.

I have a 2002 1150RT and a 2004 1150GS. Other than the GS having a "twin spark" engine, service is essentially the same on both. Actually not true. It's worlds easier on the GS because you don't have to remove the plastic which adds about half an hour to the project. Torque values and specs seem to be the same.

Thats why the "etc." is there.

The 04 has the servo-ABS, so there are differences.

The 2002 RT has integral ABS, also.

Jim. Having flushed the brakes on both my 2002 RT and my 2004 GS, I could have sworn the procedure was identical. What am I missing? Both seem to have servo-ABS. So, the 2002 GS has different brakes from the 2004 GS? If so, then my mistake.

No, my mistake. I forgot that the RT had servo-ABS.
