I hear ya, had my bike for 6 months now. 2010 klx250sf, I only get about 53mpg out of it though. So much fun!!! I get a lot of compliments as well. I suggest avon distanzia tires, I love 'em. Dual sport rear, supermoto front. :evil

Proud member of the KLX250sf crew checking in.

An S model would have fit my intended use better, but the deal was so smoking it was a no brainer to get the SF.

I do want so dirt wheels on mine, and eventually plan to get some, but I wish they were black like my factory wheels, the silver wheels really take away from the sleek look of my black beauty. IMO

In the meantime I recently ordered the Shinko 244s, but I went with the skinny front, 3.10, and 4.60 rear.

I rode a KLX250SF about a year ago when I was searching for another bike,I like small bikes and find they suit my needs,I wish I would have bought that bike,I ended up with a KLR650 which is a great bike for me except Im short and small and the KLR is tall and heavy it's been a great year and 11000 mile later but my search for a dualsport 250 has led me back to the KLX,the WR is nice but spendy, the CRF is nice but not real available seems others like them too,the KLX has a solid aftermarket and lotsa advice,so as soon as the KLR sells I hope a KLX will land nearby.

I think my new plan will be a KLX250S and a older Ninja, the older Ninjas are cheap and always a low mile 1 sitting around I had 1 once and it was great for long trips and easy to maintain, tappets on the old ones.500cc's together
