Wow, just read thru the entire trip report. Excellent stories and photos. I enjoy the minimalist approach and being able to find the 'less traveled' alternative routes.

Best RR on this site with very little drama. Looking forward to more!

Looks like he hasn't posted for quite some time. I wish I knew how to get into contact with him. What I wouldn't give to be on one of those rides!

Joe Motocross is too busy living the dream to post. He had a broken femur when he posted this report so he made use of his down time and started a revolution.

Here is a slide show of our Joe Motocross style trip for Odgen Utah to Jackson Hole Wyoming

Great report, thank you for the inspiration. I also like to travel light - nice to see your adventures. You are hardcore, and thank you for the excellent pictures.

Really great report. I enjoyed the minimalist style, dirt riding and whiskey drinking. One hell of a combo! Thank you for sharing your trips, and get well soon. :D

I've enjoyed many ride reports on this great site, but after a while they all start to seem the same, with words like "awesome" and "adventure" reflecting anything but.
Joe Motorcross your true hardcore and simple style may not appeal to all, but for those of us who yearn for this sort of riding, this ride report is a breath of fresh air.
Hope you post a few more like this one. This East Coaster will be heading to Utah for my first time this coming year-you've wet my appetite. Cheers

Fantastic RR. It's amazing how much you can leave behind (and also discover) if you're willing to leave the pavement. And I'm not necessarily talking goat paths either. Any kind of dirt will open whole new worlds that you can pretty much have to yourself.

Dual-sport/adventure riding: The best kept secret on the planet. And that's fine with me.
