Ok I know Imma get a ration of crap for this and I know there are people out there that like them but.....

IMHO..Shinko=Shitko ... buy a set of Kinda Big Blocks! You'll get the same mileage outta a set and the BB's wont let ya down!!

See I said it right up front. I know your out there and I know.. There are folks I know too that personally love them. Rick up in Scranton did a Big Canadian trip on a set without incident. He and I have this discussion all the time.

I ran two sets on my 1000Strom. I had Both Rears delaminate on me. IDK why or if it was me or the environment I ride and how I abuse the tire? The one set I didn't get 3500miles on it before Huge cracks developed. There was plenty of tread left but it was just unsafe to trust! I do roll the tire around from Edge to Edge really hard going up and over the Blue Mnt. and they get used about 60/40 for dirt abuse/road abuse? (notice its constant abuse! LOL

Its been about 5-6yrs ago since I tried one, so maybe their manufacturing has improved significantly?

I found the 804/805 to be the better option for me on my Wee the 705s were great for what they are but for the off road difference the 805s are my go to now.....That being said I'm eyeing a set of Motoz tractionator GPS's

It's not really a Ninja it's an 800 GSA. Still have the stock tires on it but will need to replace them this spring.

I have 5k on a set of 804/805s and i abuse them offroad mostly and extremely under inflated and they have lasted. But they suck bad in PA slimy coal mud for sliding out sideways, have worked well in NJ sand.

So @racer43 , we need to help Doc out a little bit. :lol2

There's several of us willing to pay to see this happen. If you have a set of Shinko's laying around could you toss those on it as well. His head might explode just from looking at the thing. :imaposer

Frank- all the usual asshats are over on the LVPM forum talking bout how their V-Strooms are falling apart and stalling out in traffic and Matt MC is all ways crying about how bad his ass hurts from the seat-.
With all that said - I think I'm just going to have to insist you loan me DR. :D

Damn you guys are all brutally beating up on the ole Stroms over there .... Now that I know that you want to ride the DR, I think that the Strom may have your name on it this year. You know, not in a mean way, just for fun!

I can't wait to run the strom1000 this year for a change... we love the ride each year.. it's nice to get off the coastal flat land of over developed ocean city md...
The DR350 has been fun each year... but the BUTT hurt was too much after 8 hours..

I'm ready to ride the CADDY the way it's meant to be...

I'm in. I will make up a roll chart holder, but I'm guessing this is also kind of a group ride?

Either have a chart or follow a group 60plus bike we usually break off into smaller groups

Last year was my first ride with y'all. It was a great ride. Met some excellent people. Hoping we go past the coal hills again this year. I'm up for giving them a shot with the Tiger 800. What's the worst that can happen? :-)

We hope you do come out again, but, no coal hills this year.
It’s a good fun route though, so you’ll have fun.

So is it more of a Africa Twin ride this year or a DR650 ride?
I did it twice on the DR and once on a FZ-09. LOL It sounds like the route is BIG bike this year.

Definitely a Big Bike Route again. No options this year.
