Hey guys! Long time listener, first time caller. I have been having a difficult time finding aftermarket seats for this bike. I've always had Corbins on past bike, but they don't make one for this yet. What aftermarket seats do you guys have or know of?

    What I've found so far:
    - Saddlemen Adventure Tour (no reviews) A couple websites sell them, but I called Saddlemen and they tell me that they don't make one.
    - Touratech (no reviews)
    - KTM Powerparts Ergo Heated

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks, guys!

I have the heated ergo seats. Good two hour comfort and they seem to be a bit lower than stock which helps a 30 inch inseam. My wife appreciates the heated pillion seat and says it is very comfortable on and off road. It has been a good value for me.

Seat Concepts. They don't show the 1190 Adventure on their site but when I emailed them about the 1190 they said they are now making it for the bike. I have never had one of their seats but have heard good things and the price seems reasonable. I am also looking for a replacement.

Mine has the most comfortable stock seat KTM has ever put on a motorcycle.
    Having said that...
There is always room for improvement.
KTM has, almost, single handedly created the after market seat business. :-)

When I bought the bike I ordered it with the heated seats and grips, then did a 1900km round trip with the wife, true they sit very comfy between fuel stops and the heated option is a treat when the wife gets cold so she's very happy...I'd say go KTM Powerparts Heated seats.:clap

ONLY complaint I have is KTM's choice in controls, they give you onboard adjustment for the grips which is great but the seats get these naff buttons that you can't see for shyte during the day if it's on,low,high...and they position the buttons in really crappy places.:freaky

Maybe you fitted the Ergo seats in place of the rally seat on the 1190 Adv R which is 2.5 cm lower than the standard seats on the 1190 Adv S?

Yes I have both, the standard R and the ergo heated seat with sits too high for me. I'd like to find a seat wich sits lower than the R but maybe more comfortable too..

For your needs, how about the Touratech one-piece seat instead of the "R" rally seat? It's 1cm lower than the KTM rally seat and according to Touratech it is much more comfortable. The list price including tax is 397.95 Euros. They will ship anywhere in Europe (carriage extra). Also you may be able to find a buyer (e.g. on Ebay) for the KTM standard seats and touring seat, and offset some of the cost of the Touratech seat.

Yes I know it but for me 400€ to low the seat only by 1cm is too much! I think you cannot even notice the lower seat....it should be at least 2 cm...or I'd like to have the opportunity to try it before to buy...

As far as I know, there is no lower seat than this. You'd have to talk with Touratech about try before you buy, I'm sure if you travel to their factory in Germany they'd let you.

To lower the ride height any more involves smaller wheels and shorter suspension. So one option to go lower still would be to sell the 1190 R (89 cm ride height) and get the 1190 S instead (86 cm ride height or 87.5 in the upper position). You could then use the KTM Rally Seat instead of the KTM standard seats and get a ride height of 83 cm, or get the Touratech one-piece seat and get a ride height of 82 cm.

I think your previous 'bike was an Aprillia Tuono which has an 84 cm ride height with the standard seat. Why did you buy the 1190 R version and not the 1190 S version which has a similar ride height to the Tuono?

Actually I can ride it without big problems with the R seat and paying a bit more of attention with the ergo seat. I choosen the R because I like to go on gravel, tracks,Tunisia etc...
I also have a ktm 250 for enduro only. So the R is the right choose for me. The problems come when the surface is not regular so I can't touch the ground firmly. I'm 175cm.
I just would like to have 2cm more... Or 2 less in the seat :)

OK, here is how to lower the ride height by another 2 cm. Get the Touratech seat which they claim is more comfortable than the KTM rally seat, and which is 1 cm lower. Then raise the front forks in the triple clamps by 1.5 cm, thus lowering the front of the 1190 R by that amount, there is that amount of clearance. I've done it.

Doing this maybe the geometry is corrupted.. Don't you think? Lowering only the front I mean..

It brings the geometry a little closer to the 1190 S which has 2 inch diam smaller front wheels (which is a 1 inch / 2.54 cm lower angle at the front yokes).
