Voilá...well almost. Just giving it a trial and then add carbon look tomorrow so should look like the carbon shields on the Wings exhaust. It works a treat, I can now drive around in town in shorts while the oil is at 95º without melting my skin of my left leg! I might still stick some heat reflective patch, or what ever you call it, on the inside to keep the carbon cooler.
Added a scoop as well to improve fresh air flow in at the same time. Any comments welcome

Not yet, should be finished by friday...but it's Spain so you never know:)
This one will cost me about 250€ because of the time he spend on it making the template etc. but I asked him how much it would be to make 30 or so pairs since a few one the blog here would like to stop frying their legs:) and he said it should be quite a bit cheaper since he can make a few moulds and then make a whole batch all made from one piece, now the scoop is separately laminated in. We'll also make the next piece a bit longer L&R to cover the frame and be able to put two holes for the zip tie so you don't see them sitting on the frame. Should look better

Looks very interesting. If you had a pair ready, I could take it with me. I'm on Pacha Island just next to you till the morrow.

Will post some clear pictures in the morning, these are pretty bad.
Carbon look done with 2 coats of clear coat. I think it might look good in matt finish as well. Next pair we'll make slightly wider to able to make 2 holes for the zip ties so you see them less on the frame but don't wan't to push the aesthetic part too far either, I think they look pretty good already and main thing is that they work properly! Apart from carbon look there should be other finishes available as well. I'll work it out next week as well

Next week we'll start to make a few more moulds and get a batch of 30 pairs going and then I can work out a price as well.

If anybody is interested in getting a pair (heat shields!) then send me a PM with your email and country and I'll update you next week with a price and shipping costs.

    Cheers.
I'll better get some rest now so I'll be fresh for track day mañana, can't find any decent nobbies here on the island so have to have fun somehow right? Might try with traction control off, fingers crossed :lol3

Just had a look on the website where the Carbon look of the shields got done...so have your pick and PM me the link of the finish you want:)!!
    Skulls anybody:)

Will also paint one of the shields matt to see how that looks with a special scratch resistant paint. The company doing it (our sail makers) offered to paint all the fairings on my bike at cost price to see how it will safe the pieces from scratching etc! Pretty amazing stuff. We've painted our 60.000€ main sail with it to stop chafing against the mast during the Atlantic crossing. Can't barely scratch it with 40 grid. Petty crazy stuff.

Works a treat! Left side just under the seat is now the same as right side. My left thigh doesn't get cooked anymore and I can now cruise in town in my shorts. Sure there's still heat at the lower leg but the main heat radiating from under the seat is gone. Right side was never an issue but just for the sake of having both sides look the same we made both sides. I am keeping an eye on the rear shock gas reservoir, seems to be getting really hot but not sure if it was the same without the right shield...another reason to go to the track tomorrow!:))
