Yesterday my 1190 had it's annual service. The dealer inspected the chain guide and he said it was in very very bad condition. That was the reason my chain was very loud at each bump since the first 3000 kms.The bike has now 9.500 kms.I wonder,do we have to replace our chain guides every 2000 or 3000 km's???My dealer sent photos to KTM trying to replace it under warranty...So,be careful and check your chain guides...

Mine was also worn after 3000 miles but I wouldn't say very badly worn. I complained to my dealer saying I shouldn't have to replace a chain guide three times in between services. He agreed and is replacing free of charge. If you ride off road it will wear a lot quicker, or if your chain is too loose.
