What's the story on the tire-was it a required route or optional?

That was right after the gates - Shorter route, but you gotta go over the tires. There's another route around the tires that's a little longer with a corner in it most riders were taking.

They did the same thing last year too iirc.

After looking at some helmet cam video from the race, I may have to set up near the wall/u-turn on the northwest side next time. :eek1

Just a long hike out there. :lol3

It is a long hike....you can't get much further away from where you park. It's pretty slow speed with not a lot of action, but there could be some sweet fall overs!

    VDR in Berthoud. http://www.vdrmx.com/

The east third of the place is MX - the back 2/3 is enduro. About 6mi of track.

It's on SUNDAY (Nov. 11th) folks...just saying. The URL SnowMule posted shows Sunday and the calendar I printed from the site shows it too. I just don't want anyone to make the drive and not get to see the scramble. I think I may head out there with a camera and some warm clothes...on sunday :D

PS - some nice shots there SnowMule!

Gaaah, yeah, sunday. I'm todd did.

    www.VDRMX.com

"Bridge work at the Berthoud Exit, you will need to take the Mead Exit for entrance into the track."

There are orange "Valley Dirt Riders --->" signs as you're coming from the south, watch for those.
