MPG will definitely go down. Why do you think BMW puts the big tank on the GSA? It's to make up for the bad gas mileage received from the drag the winglets cause. I actually take my winglets off when the weather gets warmer because it allows more air through to cool me off.

Makes the bike more aerodynamic...fuel economy actually improves!

+1 for red hot clothes hanger. Easy to install and could leave fairings on.

very old thread but very current topic - JVB, did you ever have issues with the dualock leaving issues on the body work? I'm very paranoid about drilling my new (to me) 07GS and putting on the Cee Bailey's winglets that just arrived

Yeah, the dual lock did not hold over the long term. I had one fly off. I later drilled and bolted them down.

I installed 2015 ADV winglets on my 2015 GS. I didn't like it, felt like it added more draft on my face, & I removed them. Fortunately from the day I bought the bike I had planned to have those gray tank side panels painted to match the tank top-- they are at the body shop now.

Anybody want some 2015 ADV winglets with mounting hardware?

Sorry to hear that. I would say you are definitely in the minority here though. Not that familiar with the bodywork on the 2015 so maybe that has something to do with it?

Right, I added ADV winglets to my '08 GS and they were fine.
The bodywork on the '15 GS is different than the ADV, and the winglets for the '15 ADV have a different shape than previous years.
