i purchased an 2018 / 1290 SAR on 3/10 rode it 300mi noticed oil leak could not figure out where it was coming from. Took the bike back to Ride now Chandler they could not duplicate the issue rode the bike 30 mi leaked, turned around lead tech could not see the leak so I left the bike. Week later they realized it was a warped valve cover and leaking from a top plug in the cover. Month later 1100 mi of drive and only 11 days of ownership it is ready. Chandler Ride Now customer service has been the worst in the industry. 59887AE8-A3D7-4F1F-BE6B-45C4372EABE2.jpeg E196FC5C-FD1B-40C1-BA9B-F07E569B8EAF.jpeg 59887AE8-A3D7-4F1F-BE6B-45C4372EABE2.jpeg 22DE5EBE-8467-4D2E-8251-589CE9821044.jpeg

2013, First Adventure demo units arrived in South Africa, after 1 demo, our 1190R rear valve cover was leaking onto the rear header, since then it has been a common issue with Austria...amoungest many:photog

Usually an easy fix and not a problem, just a way to say, WELCOME to KTM, now drink your Orange Koolaid and enjoy the ride.

I don't understand the last part
how many days was it at dealer ?

you say a month later and 11 days of ownership ?????

so did it take a month for them to fix the oil leak and was bike at shop that whole time

I doubt it was even a warped cover==probably just a gasket /seal that was outa of places or twisted

should have been quick and easy

and if a month down--Id be asking for something from them or KTM--like some power parts or a bike payment

Sounds like there are a lot of SUCK dealers out there

So I had the bike in my possession for 11 days. The bike has been at Ride Now in Chandler. I pick up the bike 4/21 , I do not have enough mi for the 1st oil change yet I asked the dealer if they would do the 600mi oil change even though it is early. I was told they would but I would have to pay for it. That they just sell the bike not make them and the cost would be on me or KTM. This sentiment has been the same through this month of ownership, Chandler Ride Now has not taken any responsibility except do the repair and take my $19k. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in fact they have an F from BBB

A bad dealer can really impact on the buying experience, hop it smooth sailing from now on.
