I remember you mentioned the weight when you were giving me the tour of the machine and showing me where you relocated the foot pegs... Glad you got home OK otherwise!

Fortunately, events like Old School are smaller so it's easier to remember people. It's when I get to these that I meet so many people at once that my pea brain get overwhelmed.

Best to do something impressive or stupid if you really want me to remember you :D

    I'm home!
Went to Hancock's of Paducah, they have a lot of stuff! Headed north thru FIB-land. Speed increased as the weather deteriorated. Made a rest stop to change pants and put liner in the jacket. Grip heaters got a workout. It rained, it stopped, it rained again and again. Had a bit of sun around 5:00. I was going 76 when the cop passed me. Luckily there wasn't one around when I was going 92.

Got home to and unmown lawn, dirty dishes in the sink, and books piled on my bed. The house looks like an episode of hoarders. SMH

Great to meet a bunch of new folks, it was a great weekend! Thanks Silke and all the worker bees that made this event happen!

I am slowly recovering... kinda :twitch

Thanks to everybody that showed up!!!!

And HHHUUUGGEE thanks to @_anatic aka Shane for helping me load and unload the truck, and cook breakfasts and dinners- I would not able to pull it off without you :rogue

Plus thanks to the guys that took you guys along on rides (and brought you all home in one piece): @Kyle B , @knybanjo , @Gaston Gagne and off course the folks that lend one hand, two hands, brains and brans: Mike/@6USMC6 and Muffynmonster, PJ, Margie, Joyce/@hillslug, Daniel/@dbarale, Craig/@PineyMountainRacing (thanks for checking out Porter - he's doing much better), Lance/@Boondoggle, Tim/@pridemore1, @bikerjim2000, @leetrout, Justin/@kalonji to keep up with my scatterbrain, and last but not least Chris/@Grizzlyman for making breakfast, and fixing my wtf. I know I am forgetting people... please help me out.

Off course Jeff/@Pork Butt for the fantastic BBQ and breakfast, Dan/@gsweave and Ken/@Boojum for showing off our n00bs, @Kyle B (again) for installing breakers, making, coffee and bringing wood.

I am not mentioning Blair/@Blur on purpose, he gets too cocky if I do, but it was nice that he shared his wood with everybody....

don't forget your brother, whose name I won't even try to spell (or pronounce, he immediately became "Hey!"). Every time you looked at the cooking area he was there, and he's a great and interesting guy as well. Please give him my regards.

    No! Muy Bien.
The insurance will pay me for the repairs, bike has been sold, no broken bones and boss says work is slow so take my time to heal. I consider it a wake up and will concentrate on getting the Enfield ready for next year.

Mileage calculations done, low of 36 mpg, high if 68! How'd I manage that?? Average 47.967, 2161 miles for the week, $103 for gas. Not bad for a week.
Turned the odometer over 50,000. :-)

68 Wow, best I have ever done was in TN/MS and that was 47. But then I have a 100lbs on you/bike combo and a bit more wind resistance. I was wondering if it is the 100% vs. the 10% ethanol that I have local.
