Yeah, can't complain!! Needs some work, but it's all there.

The clamps and caliper hanger are homemade by the PO's brother. Rough, but they worked. I'll be re-doing the caliper hanger before I ride it. It's just a block of aluminum and rubs on the knock-off. Not up to my standards!

Looked at his web page today. Must have missed it last month.
He has some neat bits!! Went to the races last night and watched....
I really wanted to be riding. Shoulder is getting better every day. PT starts tomorrow.

Thanks Jon!! Physical Therapy is more like Physical Torture....
Getting the range of motion back slowly. Getting my strength back in the right arm will be another thing.

Physical therapy is helping!! I'm able to spin a few wrenches now!
Got the body work off the '78 TT to survey the damage. I think at this point, I'll go with a new "Used" frame, this one looks pretty tweeked.

So much for the nice Nickel Plated Jemco pipe!! Got it taken apart and I'm gonna try my hand at metalsmithing.

Winter projects. The shoulder is not good enough to ride anymore this year. Ill get some heat in the garage and have at least one ready for next season!

Thanks Jon!! It felt good to work a bit today. I'm right handed and the injury is to my right shoulder. Couldn't get too much done, but I did something....

Went to the races last night and picked up some photos from the July race where I crashed. The starts I got that night felt unfair!! I thought I jumped both the Heat and Main, but I guess I was just in the starters head!!

Heat Race start July 17 2013
    [IMG]

I won the Heat Race!! The new 7.0 Golden front tire made a big difference in the handling. Felt like the bike was on rails.

The start of the Main.... Holeshot again.

Getting passed for the lead. I was worn out!! Spent everything I had in practice and the Heat Race!
Racing again at 65 after a 36 year lay-off. Takes a little time to get it all back.
Dave O'Neill Has a very fast and good handling Honda framer!

A couple of races left this season. I may try to ride in the October race. I'll wait to see how the shoulder feels a day or so before I make the decision....

Doctor released me from treatment yesterday!!
Time to start rebuilding the crashed '78.
I might try to ride the last race of the season Oct 19.....

My friend and racing buddy Dennis Kanegae gave me a de-raked frame from his collection. Time to start putting parts on it

The "White" frame is back from the powder coater!

Just need some time to work on getting it put back together.
Heading to Pomona for the AMA Flat Track season final, so no work until I'm back. Need to get it done before the last Spokane Speedway event on the 19th of October.

Willie your one tough dude I really admire you. I found this thread with a google search "flat track project" for a flat rack bike I plan on building over the winter. I read all 16 pages over the last several days Started out learning a few things great build by the way, then that video ouchhhh so glad your doing so well and planning to hop back so soon, I used to race hare scrambles and motos back in the 70s on my OSSA. Then in 80 I ended up in a wheelchair from a motorcycle accident kinda got away from bikes untill 7 years ago my nephew was 13 and wanted a mini bike thats all it took since then we have done 5 frame up restorations / custom builds been going to our local track for last 5 years or so Western Reserve motorcycle club salem oh fell in love flat track racing and decided to get back into racing and am really excited about it, but I have a lot to learn so I'll be here a lot.
    Also both bikes are awsome
    I 'm thinking I might go TT !!!
    Best Wishes
    Tom
