So I am rebuilding the carburetor. In the primary carb's throttle valve there is a plate attached to a spring that pushes down the needle jet. This plate is held in by two screws, there is a third hole. If the plate goes in one way the hole is covered. The other way, the hole is uncovered. In my own brilliance, i did not discover the hole until reassembly and have no clue which way it goes.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

I have a set of spare carbs in my hand. I'm not pulling them apart to see where the hole is, but the arm that comes up off that plate to meet the linkage is on the outside of the carb, and the round part of the plate goes towards the 2nd carb. Hope that helps.

Well, figured it out. The throttle valve only goes in one way linked up to the arm on top. That arm connects to the plate from the same direction. Hole is open.
