When I had my VFR800 for a while I rode with a friend that had a GTS. He chewed the tires off that bike, and I rode over my head in effort to keep up. His boots, and foot pegs were ground down heavily.

    I've wanted one ever since.

I wish I could say I was doing the same thing - but I guess I'm just a wuss! I'm sure one of the magazine reports indicated that the GTS didn't have great ground clearance. Despite being heeled over close to the edge of the contact patch, my boots and pegs were still several inches off the ground I believe.

If I'd moved back onto the balls of my feet here, I'd probably have 4"+ of ground clearance.

I do miss mine. I'd love to find a 94 with the Krauser bags on the day I actually have enough money to buy one. I just loved that motor.

I was going to go to that - Work has interfered with my plans, unfortunately.

There's one on eBay right now in Texas - Seems to be in reasonable condition, although it does have more signs of use than many. Also one on Craigslist, Fla Treasure Coast - but it has been crashed and needs replacement bodywork so probably better as a parts bike.

That ebay bike looked a little rough. cracked headlight and the plastic on the left looks all cracked to hell and badly repaired. Won't buy one with an "I could adapt the FZR exhaust". :lol3

It could be a lot of bike for the $3000 though. Not sure I have the skills to get this back to where it needs to be.

That looks like a pretty good percentage of all the GTS' in the US. :lol3

Yeah I saw the Canadian one.

I probably know Kevin H. He may be the guy that helped me go get mine after it was stolen and destroyed.

FWIW: In the San Francisco Bay Area craigslist a couple of days ago there was a GTS1000 for sale. As I recall 24k and $3700.

The green GTS was from the Tejas boys, and was a rat-bike. There's loads of GTS photos from the rally here:

In Germany we have also a big community of riders who loves the GTS , its technology and durability.
Some guys have already passed the 100.000 or 200.000 km

I hope to exchange experiences and stories about and with the GTS.

Four separate GTS's on eBay as of a couple of days ago - Mostly very clean, low mileage examples. No affiliation to any of the sellers.
