lost in translation.. I got ya now...
No worries friend ... Sounds like you have a great history with DS's too... Trials bike? I hear those are good for road trips.
damn you fockers and yoar 2stroke DS threads.
Since I got my "gold wing" (S10) I need a smaller funner bike to replace my Big SIlver Pig, 640A. Thanks to my Pa, I was born with pre-mix in my veins and have a long lost lust for another.
Also having been around sleds all my life I know a thing or two on how they work and how quickly one can swap out a piston between race heats.
The ultimate would be to keep the 640 and buy another but my money tree has gone limp. We'll see.
My only thing (like everyone elses) is fuel range. What is the biggest tank made for the KTM group? 4 gallons? I could make some auxilliary saddle tanks for that extra...
2T DS bikes in Action....just ignore that beemer that keeps popping up...some just have to be different

Great video......makes me want to get busy plating my 250 exc.
That is the engine that I put in my Suzuki frame in the above video. Gotta love a sleeper 2T DS ride - WOOOHOOO
Im dual-sporting this in the UK:
Yep. I got a plated '00 300ECX a while ago and promptly converted it to supermoto trim and 14/40 gearing. It'll loft the front wheel, cruise at 65-75 without issue for hours on end, and tops out around 105mph. Untouchable in the tight twisties and lots of fun on the roadrace and kart track.
I threw the dirt wheels and 14/45 gearing back on a couple weeks ago and had a great day on the local fireroads. Even saw almost 90mph with alot of throttle left over. We have a daylong DS/enduro ride scheduled for this weekend, can't wait!
I have a D675 for when I wanna go really fast or really far, but the 300 is always my goto for around town (or trackdays, or dirt riding or, etc)
Swapping the wheels only takes about an hour.
I bought my 2013 KTM 300 XCW and also bought a 20 litre tank. I've used that only for a while, as my gas mileage on the standard tank has far exceeded my expectations. We did a 125 mile ride with the 20L tank. At about 110 miles I had to switch to reserve. At the end of the ride, I had about 4" of fuel in the lower parts of the tank - I wish I could tell you the final range, but I suspect 150 miles or more.
After going from a KLX350 to this 200 EXC, I don't ever want to ride anything but a KTM 200. hahahaa.. This bike is so god damn fuckin fantastic. I love it. Nothing like a plated two stroke ripper! The forest is about four miles from my driveway.
Sadly it's been about two weeks since I've been on it Might start the winter overhaul soon and get her ready for the Spring.
Its a 2 stroke nation.
The new project.
My IT465 is plated completely street legal:
H4 Headlight with Piaa Xtreme White bulb, turn signals, front and rear brake lights, 10ah battery, dual mirrors.
Clarke 4 gal tank
Kenda K760 Trakmaster Dot tires.
I had to have it completely street legal just in case I run into a USFS Ranger on a power trip. They can be total dicks, this way I can tell them to Piss Off.
wheres the pics!
my old IT490.
rebar kickstand, orange grips (all i had to use at the time), boat trailer tail light, budget turn signals, and an old honda speedo. back when i was on a serious budget lol
I am not to good at posting photos but here it is:
Yeah I know it is not blue but the National Forest backs up to the long side of my property so I like to blend in when I am riding the single tracks.
I like the green. Gives it a rugged utilitarian look.
Is that a Yamaha? (please inform the ignorant)
