Two stroke ride
A KX 500, and two KTM´s a 300 EXC and a 250 XCW
do you have any details on this bike?
That R5 has been almost finished for about fifteen years. It would take a weekend to just put the parts on it. I just cant seem to pull myself away from other projects.
9000 original miles, runs real sweet..
My 1990 RZ350F2 with 10,675kms.
All stock but for master cylinder and braided brake line.
Last year for the RZ's in NA.... ;o(
Man i miss my '70 R5. you didn't happen to buy that from me did you?
But with Knobbies and a 21 front.
You'd break it in half... that bike is perfect.
Not unless you lived in Utah. I bought two of them from the same guy. The first one I restored just in time for Park City Motorcycle meet in I think 1999. I sold the first one. It is the only motorcycle I have sold in twenty years. Still kinda stings.
I bet that TDR could redden the face of some sprott bike riders. Lubbly. Must get me one, one day.
Oooooo, factory pipes on a TDR!!!
A buddy of mine just got a set for his. Absolutely beautiful!!!
He also laced a 19" rim on the front so he could use dual sport tires.....
I allways was a 2 stroke guy... Probably because where I'm from (eastern block) the "big" bikes of 80-ies were MZ-t, Jawas, 2 strokers without exeption. I had an old battered Jawa 350 ratbike I rode from Hungary to UK.
right now I have a modified (of course...) jawa 350 again, the newer version. (hell knows why I did not buy the older one... )
I kept the fuel tank...
Nowdays I started to be interested in those beautiful 70-ies trial and crossbikes... simplicity, light, powerful. Would be ideal tool to enjoy the ride to work in the town! :)
Those are Jim Lomas pipes on Jim's TDR.
Oh lookie, an old side hack! Charlie T. to the white courtesy phone!!!
Hello everyone im a 2 stroke fan too, here is my little ax 100 98cc, i bought it new in 2008 as a cheap backup bike and ever since ive been using it everyday all year long and recently it took me, my girlfriend and our full camping gear in a 2000 mile trip
Here is she loaded
P.s ive never seen that tdr before but im officially in love with it!
Terrific looking ride relic! You've done a great job. I like your thoughts on not repainting it. They just seem to look so much better original with some patina (sp?) And those bags... I'd ride it as much as you do.
Love the look of that chainguard too! Never saw one that long. Almost looks like another pipe!
