Up on Ortega Highway this weekend at the Look out. Very cool.
1980 IT250, just sold it last Thursday:
My 86' IT200, currently a work in progress...
Completed a frame off restoration with mostly cleaning, NOS parts and new seals, battery, bulbs etc
(Before - when brought out from barn)
(Where it sat in the barn for 20 years)
anybody aver seen one of these? its a puch/allstate/sears 250 scrambler....looks to have the "twingle" engine....
Looks like ill be browsing craigslist looking for a puch basket case...(yes Im aware the engine is a real dog but wouldn't it be fun to show up at the riding trails on one of these....)
Here are a few of mine......
Playing with the Mantossers
Me and my Super Rat in action
A couple from the Suzuki corner of the barn. Both 1974 TC185 survivors.
Some from last weekend

Hello all ..
Long time lurker, first time poster. Lots of nice 2-strokes here for sure.
Thought I'd throw my bike into the ring for your consideration.
Hey, that is some great looking RD. You really did a top notch job on it!
Ticks all the boxes, alloy rims, chambers, rear sets, polished cases and classic bump saddle. And I must say, for riding, I too favor the superbike style low bars over clip ons!
I had a '73 RD 350 in the mid 70's. Spent the winter turning it into a Kenny Roberts special, mine had rearsets and chambers too. Even had the yellow / black paint job (and the clipons). A friend even gave me a used set of road race slicks for it (not a good idea). It was ready to go but it would be a couple of months before I would be 16 and old enough to get my license.
Well a couple of months was a long time back then! So still 15, I one day decided to ride it to school after my dad went to work, who would know? It was damp that morning, and with slicks, you guessed it, I laid it down... right in the sweeping left hander that led into the school parking lot! :huh
And not too far in front of a school bus!:eek1 Just missed the guard rail too!
I bounced pretty good back then and was left unhurt. I hopped up, quickly gathered up all the pieces and rode it back home. Then I cut school so I could put it back into a reasonable state before my father got home. I was really sweating!
Of course I couldn't fix all the damage so I told dad I knocked it off the side stand while working in the garage.
Haha, he gave me a big pass on that one!
Thanks for posting. Long live the RD!
Daaang! Sweet bike. Looks a lot like the one I sold last year I like the subtle redo with the tail light.
Thanks for the kind words fellas ..
When you ride this thing, you come to realize how popular this bike was back in the day. People literally chase you down the street to look at the bike and have a little chat about RDs .. and inevitably to share their own personal RD tales.
The story usually involves wheelies ...
Its really great fun to own and ride. This one fookin rips!
Its my fourth '75 RD350B and I finally feel I did one up proper.
35 pages of beautiful two strokes and only 2 TDR250s?
Anyone selling one please?
This was my first bike. Bought from original owner, rebuilt motor, rode the piss out of it!
Very nice. And the 650 in the background looks sick as well.
10 years ago I went to go look at an RD400. It was a barn find, but 90% original. When I got to the seller's house it was sold and already sitting in the new owner's pickup.
My 2012 3 hundo in front and our sons 2009 WR 150 in the back :<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/aBI_5gLABbCDzL_AWYZ2vltfelAAvWRSREwUV4MxVUg?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-R0C9ierZYB0/T3n37wy2bnI/AAAAAAAAAr8/ubO42dB0R-M/s800/photo.jpg" height="600" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/115240595390407108917/Web?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCMLp7Z2LqLDIDw&feat=embedwebsite">web</a></td></tr></table>
They may not be old iron, but you gotta love even the new smokers!
My only smoker in the garage these days - 02 2fitty EXC
Lights are hangin in the shrine as its set up for the occasional HS or on the MX track to test the Slavens suspenders
The 300 is a 6 speed right?
What is the ratio spread like? Would 6th be comfortable on two-lane black-top?
Hope you approve.
