    Dam nice bike...
    What year is it?.. MX125C.. being a "C" should be 1976 ?
The first YZ mono was the 1975 "B" model... That looks identical
to the 1974 YZ apart from the colour & graphics..

    Hey Pete,

You are correct it is a 76 model. This bike has more in common with the YZC than the 74 YZ. The tank is steel and a small amount larger than the alloy YZC tank, same shape though. The motor has a steel bore instead of chrome and the carb is a 30mm compared to the bigger YZ carb. Fenders are the same as the YZC. They all interchange. With the Curnutts on the rear I am right at 8" of rear wheel travel which is more than the YZC.

I think this one of the prettiest Yamaha's from the period. It has just great lines. I searched for one of these for 35 years.

It is a production bike and not a backyard modified. They only made, I think 2018 of them. They are somewhat rare. I was never a Yamaha guy as I preferred Euro bikes. The only one I had ever seen was at Curnutt Shocks when I worked there back in the 70's.

Here's my project bike that I completed 2 years ago. I am now working on a 1969 AT-1M with matching numbers. [IMG]

YIPE!!! Looks like a Zabel/Maico motor on that bike. I thought they only put them in sidecars and not ATK's. I never really noticed. :clap
