Brazilian couple Lucio and Paula, residents of New York City, decided to take a break and visit their relatives back in Brazil. The only thing is that the trip is going to be a bit unusual (for non Adventure Riders).
They are riding their V-Strom 1000 from 5th Ave. - New York City to Av. 9 de Julho - Ribeirao Preto - Brazil.
Please join us on this Ride Report.
Tips, suggestions etc. are always welcome. Thanks.

First Leg - NYC to College Station - Tx, where my sister lives.
Adventure starts soon (April 5th 2009).
    Let's Ride together !!!

    Lucio and Paula,

Great to know about your dreamed trip. The Brazilian community on ADVRider isn`t so big and our marvelous country isn`t so visited from ADVRiders, with exceptions of course. So, it`s a good opportunity to persuade more Brazilians to join this community and make us more visibles.

If you would like, I can give you some suggestions about your route across Peru (South of Lima), Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

    Keep us informed. Ride Safe.

Once again, thank you all for the support.
It's fantastic to have this great community riding with us.
Things are 99% ready (always that 1%..........) for departure.
Enjoying a few Farewell Drinks, Parties etc.
I hope to be able to post all details about the trip.
If any of you want some specific information, let me know and we will try to reply promptly.

    DadRider,
I hope we can better promote the AdvRider Community in Brasil. Please count on me for whatever you need.
Also, I hope we can show to this community all great routes available in Brazil.
And, yes, we would love to have info on South America.
We have been reading a lot to gather information and make this adventure interesting and fun.
See you guys on the road soon.

    Good Morning Adv Riders !!!!
A couple of days ago, while checking our outstanding items to be executed before departure, we realized that we could antecipate "the date" in a few days.
So, yesterday afternoon, very quietly, we packed our moto and left the city.

We took I-78 to Harrisburg and then I-81 south.
As we were "a bit" excited about departure, we decided to ride at night. So, we rode till midnight and stopped at a motel just after the West Virginia border.
The bike performed very well, very steady fully loaded.
Soon, I will post a couple of pictures so you can see our conditions.
Today, we expect some rain. We may not be able to run as much as we want, but we will keep on going.
If you want to have a look at our planned route, plus some not so interesting information about the project :
    www.LucioSiqueiraProjetos.com
It is in english and portuguese.
I am also keeping a blog in portuguese on :
    daquintapranove.blogspot.com
Our goal is to be in College Station - TX in a few days.
Let's see.........3, 4 or 5 days......whatever. We are just very happy to be riding.
See you guys on the road.
