i had my bike in at moto international, re speedo drive they told me the part is out for good, they hooked my speedo direct, cable to speedo, no 90 degree drive, it did work for 50 miles, he said it was a stretch that a longer cable may do a better job. I'll fart around with it. I havent had a speedo in ages. other then that its the only thing thats buggered up, no rim cracks and Ive dine several thou' easy of fire roads, no pipe cracks either. love this bike !

I did the head lamp swap suggested by Greg Bender its a great cheap up grade

Im going to put wider, bigger pegs on it.

that papa sloan pipe would allow the pannier mount to be moved in so the bag doesnt stick out like a sail. I rarely use my side hard bags because of the width

I've tried hooking up my speedo cable directly to to speedo head but the cable is too short on mine that 90 thing is a real pos.

Hey that red quota in that pic sure looks alot like mine!
What kind of exhaust is that does anyone know?
I have the supertrapp internal disc on mine and the screw that holds the disc baffel in waro a grove in the can so i removed the whole bafel and replaced the end cap. Seems to me it runs better with the stock muffler but my happy trails rack wont fit around the stock muffler course that was comparing it to the supertrapp when the discs were in, I havent ran them back to back with to open super trapp. I also have never fooled with the dyno jet programer.

Are talking about the red one that in the pic with the 2 black ones?

On that one the muffler is a Mistral. Some got rid of the stock collector and replaced it with a steel tubing crossover.

Yea mine has the stock collecter bined in place of it is a collector tube that I used to think was a Mistral but now I'm not so sure because its rounded where it angles up for the muffler instead of a sharp corner like th mistral and it's steel instead of stainless so its showing a little corrosion.

I have two cansters off of my ktm 950 super enduro that got stolen that I guted and made straight through. I'd like to some day make it a true dual exhaust with those with no cross over.

My exhaust is a Mistral, with the stock Guzzi down pipes (but with the crossover removed and the holes welded shut).

I'm currently making a replacement for the stock windshield - my first foray with fiberglass. More of a fairing extension really... I'll take a few pictures.

Ive welded the cracks in my cross pipe a couple of times (Mig) and I recently had a friend tig weld them and when I put it back together I cut a plug out of beer can and plugged off the cross over sounds slightly different seems to run just the same. Still want a true dual exhaust

I must say I like the looks of that Mistral canister over the supertrapp they just look too short ya know.

usually a cross over close to the front gives more power.

To bad about Mr Sloan RIP

I've heard that before about the cross over giving more power so thats why I plugged it off with a peice of of aluminum beer can as an experiment and couldnt tell the difference.
Honestly these things must be realy choked up some where, maybe its the intake manafold. I gotta say I was really dissapointed with the performance the first time I rode it but I went ahead and bought it anyway because I had lusted for one so long. Its sure not like putting two xr600's together thats for sure, course got this one right after my 950 super enduro was stolen so that was a real step down in performance.

nothin new on here so time for a bump. I put some three wire turn singnals on all the way around recently got the bike master ones that are the honda xr style they are alot cheaper than the guzzi ones plus I wanted the added lights for safety especialy from the rear. I was a little unsure about amber running lights for the rear but they look good at night.
