2001 TE 610 Wheel Dimensions and/or Fitment on a 2006

    Hi All-

    I am looking for somebody with a 2001 (or same generation) Husky TE 610 who can measure rear rotor to sprocket spacing for me.

    Alternatively, if anyone has run a '01 610 wheel on a 2006 (or same generation) 610, please let me know!

    I need a set of wheels for my TE, and I have come across a 2001 set, but I do not know if they will fit. I know that the '01 has a cush drive and my bike doesn't, but it does have the same axle diameter... My biggest concern is the spacing between the chain and the caliper, because there isn't much I can do to take care of that. Spacers and such I can custom machine.

    To add some data to this thread:

    My 2006 TE 610 wheel has roughly 6.25 inch spacing between the centerlines of the rotor and sprocket.

    Anybody have a previous generation bike (with cush drive hub) that they can measure?

    On my 03 I just did a rough measurment and came as close as I can without taking the wheel off. From the left swing arm flang to the disk brake (so overall hub width) is about 6 7/8in and I think this is the measurment you need. If you are just looking for the spoket to the disk it is 6 5/8. Keep in mind this was all on the bike so its not exact.

    That is potentially super helpful, thanks. However, to make sure we're on the same page, let me clarify:

    I just measured from the right edge of the sprocket to the right edge of the rotor. All I did was stick a tape measure (or a ruler) through the wheel, put the end up against the sprocket's "inside" face (not the chain, the sprocket itself), and then read out what the dimension was to the far edge of the rotor. On my 2006 TE it is about 6.25 inches. Here's a picture:

    Alternatively, I also measured from the outside of the rotor to the outside of the sprocket (the "widest" measurement between the two), and that was a bit over 6 1/2, could probably be darn close to your 6 5/8. Can you clarify what your "sprocket to disc" measurement was? Inside spacing? Outside spacing? Centerline spacing?

    Glad I could help. The 6 5/8 was from the outside of the sproket to the outside of the disc, and I pulled the tape from the chain so its probably close to 6 1/2. Do you need the true hub width? If so tomorrow I can pull the wheel off and get a true measurment.

    Sweet! I just measured the same way you did, outside to outside including the chain, and I got about 6 3/4 on my '06. It sounds like that's pretty close, probably within about 1/8 of an inch, to what you measured.

    I think this shows some real promise. I am going to see if I can make those wheels fit!

    So heres the deminsions with the wheel off. All measurments are pulled from the left side of the wheel spacer.
    -outside edge of sproket 3/8in
    -inside edge of disc 6 9/16in
    -left spacer to right spacer (overall width) 6 7/8in
