My 07 R1200 GS has an annoying surg between 2700 and 4000 rpm. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? It excelerates fine just at a steady speed.

Have you recently done any work on your bike?

    Removed any fairings, etc.

    Tell us...will help us diagnose.

i had similar problem with my gs 650 .. the problem was in a computer which i had to reset: remove (+) battery cable .. wait for 5 min .. connect the (+) battery back .. make a key conntact (do not start the engine) .. roll the throttle from min to max position twice .. the start the engine .. the engine has run arround 1.2rpm when idle .. if this desn't help it could be some sensor which is brokne. hope this helps. g

had an 02' for 8 years and always had a surging problem in that area.tried lots of stuff to no avail.maybe some people are more sensitive to that than others.
