OK. So I'm stupid. Yeah, I know.

I unlaced my old front wheel and didn't pay attention to where the long spokes go or where the short spokes go.

Anybody know if the long spokes go in the outside holes or if the long spokes go only on the disc side?

    It's a 21 incher btw.

    Thanks so much in advance!

You should be able to find something with google...maybe download the parts or service manual. Just guessing, I'd say the long ones go opposite the disc brake.

Just looked your bike up at Cheapcycleparts. The front spokes are sold as a set. No lengths given.

I downloaded the service manual and it doesn't say anything about lacing the wheel.

Yeah, in the set, the long ones are separated from the short ones.

Yes, it is the front hub. And I do believe the flanges are the same diameter. But I've been wrong before!

Run on down to the local Yamaha shop for a look see. That or it's trial 'n error.

So, I've got the same problem. A spoke set with 2 different lengths and no clue what to do. Tried several different variations. Would you mind sharing the solution?

Short are inner's and long outers. My guess

It's been a while since I figured it out. I'll have a look tomorrow and see if I can see what I did. :lol3
