I usually stay at the Atsion Family Campsites.
Sending in my entry form TODAY!
The Mass 950 crew is down to two riders this year but we will be there!
Yoohoo.. Ortho Doc just gave the Ankle his seal of approval for me to ride. I was getting a bit nervous about riding. Its been 6 weeks since my crash and it still hurts a bit from time to time especially if I twist it sideways. Doc says since its healing nicely and since the Air Cast will fit in my boot it would be a good idea to ride with it.
All that said, the Vstrom is ready I;m ready and the registration is in the Mail TODAY!!!!
Hey: The entrys are coming in and things are coming together.
So far there are about 50 spots left for the ride.
The Hotel as about 20 rooms left, so if you want to stay there book soon.
It's the Hammonton Inn on RT 30 in Hammonton NJ. 609 561 5700, mention the PB300 when making the resveration.
Can someone post info on camp sites etc.
The permits are in the works and so far everything looks good, got the insurance certificate today.
It's been a wet season so far, so the roads are less sandy then last year, and we cut out the more sandy sections. We'll be preriding in the next couple of weeks.
Sallydog has some great pic's from last year here, there's pic's from the routes, the dinner sat night, and the hotel.
They really give an good overall view of the event.
Here's some of my favorites.
Be seriously, most of that stuff is gone. This year is more like this.
The Pine Barrens RallyMoto team is heading up to Harrisville NY for our 3rd Black River Stages, an off-raod Rally Race, this weekend, wish us luck.
Scott is seeded 6th, meaning based on his past finishes, he's the 6th fastest guy entered. Not bad considering he's on a DRZ400.
Me I'm right in the middle.
Good to hear from Tim, Al and Jeff, see you guys then.
ha! the pb300, where big bikes come to take a dirt nap
good luck at the race this weekend Jack
see ya at the pb!
Staying in Hammonton is your best but but here's a Gpx file of the Pine Barren Campgrounds
Here's NJ's info on the campgrounds
Cloest to Hammonton
Basto (has cabins?)
Bass River (has cabins)
Atsion (has cabins)
Lebanon (has cabins)
Room booked, 2 entries on the way
so, let me get this straight- this years it's open to all cc's, but no 2 smokers or trail bikes (whatever those are). hmm, i wonder what sort of tires (road-off road %) could i get away with on a big single.
Tagged street legal, non 2 stroke with over 80 mile range. And no open pipe.
Im going to have to give this a shot!
Trying to make it this year...finally.
Just started tearing into the 950 tonight. Valves, oil, airfilter and maybe flip my rear tire around as it's a bit beat and I'm a bit broke .
Now all I have to do is get someone to watch the shop for two days and I'm golden!!!
no big bike for you? this ride is made for you big bike....
it will be nice to see you again... it's like you fell off the earth. but the tags are easier without racing you to them
Had a new kid in June then started building and eventually opened my own skateshop so I've been there 24/7. I just haven't had time to do anything to the bikes maintenance wise or have I had time to actually go ride. Oct and the first few weeks of Nov are slower so I can get some riding in hopefully.
Bike is big, rider is bigger.
congrats on the baby!
cool, where's your shop, I need a new board. Where's a good park around here with some mini pipes?
Congrats! And I second that, where is the skate shop? I still have a 1983 Tony Hawk in Shrink wrap mounted on my wall
PS NOW BACK TO THE PB300
Hey: So the Team's back from Black River Stages, this finishes our 3rd fun and succussful season.
Scott woulda, coulda, shoulda finished 3rd overall, but a crash on a late stage cost him
7 minutes and he finished 15th. I finished right in the middle, 13th. Not bad for an old guy.
Thanks to our crew Rob Pao (Rally Boss) and Paul for helping out.
Now I can focus on the PB300 again.
Good to hear from Joe B, and Toe C. Congrats on the baby. James, I got Laurens entry.
Everythings coming together. I'll send out an email to the crew soon, and to the riders who's entrys we recieved.
I'm starting to get down to the details now, and more info will be out soon. This is going to be a great ride.
Just to be clear, we removed the CC limit, but the bike still has to be 100% street legal, with a
current inspection sticker and USFS approved pipe.
Shops in Langhorne, right outside the Oxford Valley Mall. Call me if you are in the area. www.reignskate.com for directions
There is a sweet park in the Levittown/Fairless Hills area, right where Mill Creek Parkway and rt13 intersect.
Also a decent mini ramp at the Hopewell NJ park..it's outside the municipal building.
