That's not funny at all I was pulled over by a Policeman when he saw that only one light was working out of two on my Zuma. When I showed him that they switched when you selected high or low he smiled and said "What a stupid design" Anyway the TMAX lights will not be as intense as the Majesty because only one bulb will be on vice 2. This really seems like a step backwards. I am going to get one anyway (TMAX) but I will be looking for a Conversion kit to make it match the Majesty's lighting.

Even if you convert them to HID you'll only have one on when using low beam because unlike H4 there's no dip function -- the high beam is permanently positioned at a higher angle.

There is a kit around that makes the high beam function with the low, but at a much lower than normal brightness. That might keep nosy cops at bay but wouldn't add much light to the road.

I just found out that when the Tmax high beams are selected the low beams stay on. This is different than the Zuma that had one or the other on. Looking forward to skypowersports calling me to come get my Tmax soon. Maybe next week if I am lucky

Yup, with H7s the low beam stays on with the high. I still wasn't impressed with the light though, and converted both to HID.

How much does that run and how many parts does this HID kit come with. The Standard Halogen lights on my Majesty are fine. When I get the Tmax I'll see how the lights are and if not up to snuff then I'll upgrade to HID Zenon's if I remember correctly. :D

Thanks that is very good information. Going to research it. I find it interesting that Yamaha has better lights on the 400CC Majesty than they do on the 500 CC and more expensive By 2k dollars Tmax. Most of my riding is on a long country road with lots of animal traffic so I am assuming that I will need the HID lights. The stock lights on the Majesty were excellent better than most cars and truck that I have owned....

Very nice I think when I get mine I will order the UK turn signal kit to replace the lollipops that we are getting on the US model....

The new T-Max has just gone on sale in Japan. With 38 crank HP hauling a curb weight of 222kg I don't it'll be annihilating too many sport bikes unless they're being ridden by morons :lol3

The biggest surprise is the MSRP of ¥945,000, nearly a grand more than in the States despite the fact that it's made here :huh

I like the T-Max concept. Just wish Yamaha would step up to the plate and put a TDM900 motor in it :deal

Just got an email from a friend who works in a PowerSports network MC store - says they're taking delivery of a TMax this afternoon.

Going to go check it out after work...
