LOL... Like I said, I don't read German but I can count stars
nice to have you back..... :)
I got out of the boot today!!! start therapy on Wed. so I figure I will be riding again in a few weeks :) We will have to meet up,
Was pretty cool. I was at the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Show today in PA and there was a company there with a police outfitted scoot... I shot some pics on my phone so I will try to upload them later.
Thought it was interesting to see someone marketing a Super-Scoot to the PD's now though... Personally I think it makes a lot of sense for certain communities.
That's all I got...
Anything like this one?
Where are the legal front blinkers ?
It actually wasn't nearly that nice!!!
I just bought an 09 Tmax and now ready to explore and learn in order to bring this puppy to "near perfection"... Now, would anyone be willing to share their bookmarks on where to purchase all these aftermarkets goodies? I am familiar with Scooter trap but can't seem to locate other well furnished US web sites (ie. EU blinkers; ERMAX, Pollini, etc). Thanks!
PS: This thread is ridiculously long... no way we could have sub sections for scooter inmates?
O-livier...congrats on the new T-Max...I'm sure you'll love it. There aren't many aftermarket accessories available in the US. You mostly have to order the "good stuff" from EU sites. You can try Ebay International and find lots of stuff. Here are several links if you don't mind high shipping charges. One more thing...Google Translate is you best friend in navigating these sites (assuming you're not fluent in German, Italian, Spanish, etc):

Thanks very much!
This will help me quite a bit! I stumbled on the Rizoma web site last night and WOW!
Total drooling such beautiful designs! As you say, there are a lot of "tuning" places in the EU and will need to closely look at... Not sure where I should start with the mods... I am French and rode the Tmax in 2001 while undecided between a GS and the Tmax.... Turned out the GS won my heart then.... 9 years after, I still have a GS and now the Tmax...
Welcome! O-livier! Well, you could start by changing the mirrors-- there's a PAIR of Rizoma Elisse on eBay going for $175. But then you'll need adapters...
If this was two years ago I would've bought them, but since I am going oversea soon if I buy them now I won't be able to enjoy them on the bike, so too bad for me.
Too many mods, too little time. Then again, modding is a gradual process. Enjoy!
I love the plate holder. They should make ones like that for all the squid sportbikers.
Hey all : I have had my TMAX for a few days and have put over 400 miles on it, so far I'm impressed. Just ordered the EU turn sigs (hate the stockers), and cut off the rear lic. plate hanger (fender). Trying to decide on which variator, J.Costa standard or race. Maybe even the Dr.Pulley mod, any suggestions, likes or dislikes, would you buy the same again? Is the standard J.Costa good for three seconds off 0-60 times like the J.Costa race variator? Anyone with a performance exhaust system for sale? Where can I get a free service manual download?
Thanks in advance
Hi Dave,Tmax is a great ride. The J. Costa has been fine for me and would definitely buy one again. I have the standard J Costa and it's good for 2 - 2.5 seconds off the stock 0-60 time.Bob
Bob : thanks for the help, and the quick reply. I saw this after I pm'ed you on another site, you can disregard that pm.
My blue 09 was finally delivered today. It is in mint condition so very happy with this transaction. Time to look into the mods:
1) I agree that these winkers are absolutely ugly! where does a newbie go for getting the EU ones? (OEM preferably?).
2) Where does one order the Yamaha slick (grey or black) top case mount? I know that there is a site in Canada, but what about in the US?
3) Anyone in the US carrying ERMAX products? and Tucano Urbano Thermoscud?
4) Which heated grips work "best" on the Tmax (ease of mounting/ reliability).
Thanks much, Olivier
O-livier: here is a link for the EU turn signals I bought. The link was sent to me courtesey of "allworld" from another forum. Hope this helps.
Thanks Versysrider. I will continue exploring Ebay for such. I was wondering if anyone has tried the LED front winkers? Thanks, O.
Mine is up for sale fellas, anybody from the uk interested message me!
Btw, my bike has aftermarket blinkers and tailights, all work fine and look better than the originals, if buying l.e.d, make sure ya put in a resistor to slow down the flash rate, its situated behind the right front panel, (black one) under the blinker the L shape 1!
P.s anyone ever scratch or catch their side panels when getting on or off the bike as its wide inder the butt and the large panels have a point which seems to catch easily! If so, these might come in handy!
i maybe mistaken but i think i read somewhere in the forum abt a free download for the service manual. if i remember correctly i even downloaded it at that time, however had to change computers and just realised that i dont have it any more. tried searching for it online but cant find it. does anybody remember where we could download the service manual for free?
thanks in advance.....
