I think it looks cool. Does Gas Gas use KTM engines in their bikes, or is that Beta?

Those aren't just wings. Check the high res photos, they're tanks cross-braced and secured to the frame.
Looks like all this extra stuff added 33 lbs over the standard 450 (293lbs vs 260lbs advertised)
I wonder if the one shown is just a prototype, someone's obviously been flogging it - The knobs are half gone on those tires, some of the plastic and graphics are chewed up and the chain is rusty. They could have at least put new tires on and lubed the chain for the photo shoot.
The fairing and front fender are obviously fiberglass. (look at the large file photos) If they're still fiberglass for production I'd relocate those front blinkers before I even rode it.
The front cable routing is also pretty bizarre. They've got it running above the front wheel between the forks and under the triple clamp. Where does it go when the forks fully collapse?

Actually, GasGas has the 1st bike with EFI in the market, long before any Jap or other...

    KTM, HONDA...etc etc.

On a more possible note, I hope this kind of riding (rally) picks up more so we can get more of a variety of bikes and parts and well everything. I doubt it but man it would be cool to see more bikes like this or kits for popular bikes that are cheap and practical.

Why don't you guys just favor population control while you're at it?

Land developers first, then go for 5 bucks a gallon gas. Hopefully, that will keep city's from spreading. Cities need to go up, not out.

Badass, functional or not this is a major move forward for a motorcycle company to offer this level of prep for $9500. I see one in my future, flat f'n cool.
