Forgive the noob (to KTM) question. I've recently bought a slightly used 2012 ADV (standard). I've already added the Weld86 skid plate and CJDesigns side stand relocation bracket, based on advice I've read on the forum.

Now I'm thinking about adding Wings exhaust, and maybe SAS blanking plates, canisterectomy, etc. How much can I do before I invalidate the warranty?

Given that there is a lot of warranty left on my bike, should these mods wait?

I'm not sure there's an easy answer as it's going to depend on what breaks, how / if the mods could have affected it and how much leeway your dealer will give you. If you do all those mods and you chunk your transmission, it's probably not an issue. But if you burn a hole in a piston or your FI fails, you may have a problem. If I were you I'd throw on a set of Wings and keep the stock exhaust in the garage - just in case... I've put almost 10K on my ADV since I bought it last year and I have not felt the need to do the blanking plates or canisterectomy.

    YMMV, FWIW, IMHO, etc...

Thanks. Sounds like good advice. The exhaust was the main thing I wanted to change- to get rid of some of the heat before I put some luggage on the bike.
