Rare except for every current full size japanese MX bike made :lol3 I expect the FI will work fine, its a japanese FI system and the same supplier makes systems for numerous other things that work just fine (and for that matter the blue ktm's have very nice FI).

Looks to me like they are using the EFI, head design, rear shock, etc...from the late model 09 to 11 Husabergs.:deal Crankcase too.
Piston still goes up and down instead of the 70 degree design:deal Cool bike!

Has anyone heard how much oil this new motor holds? :dunno The 530 held a skimpy 1.3 liters total. It would be nice if this thing holds at least 2.0 liters total for longer camping trips and service times etc. It just makes good "common sense" but the last time we've seen that was in 1776. :deal

Yeah because this bike was developed with the intention of people camping off it :lol3.I think the only bike ever built for crazy ADV's like us was KTM's 640adv which was close to the mark but still off a little.

Its an enduro bike so I seriously doubt it'll hold more than a liter and a half.

It sure would be good to know how much oil it will hold. I'm assuming it will be a wet sump motor? Also, any idea on when it will be available in the USA, and will there actually be an EXC version for us, or another
    XC-W?

I'm sure HTR will have a larger oil cooler design for it within a month as well as Acerbis will have a larger fuel tank. Time to gear up the CAD and Solidworks 3D program boys.

My FE390 FI has been perfect and my FE570 before was just as perfect. -20F

I am really impressed that KTM managed to reduce the total weight by more than 5 lbs even though they went from a simple carb to EFI. :eek1

Just read a review on the biggest Austrian motorcycle website, they are talking about a new era and by far the best KTMs yet. If you don't speak Deutsch you can Google translate it:

    Sweet video here:

The downside to FI is the lack of cheap aftermarket tanks. Hopefully there will be some big discounts on leftover 2010s/2011s this summer :evil

I'm not sure why it needs a fuel pump when the tank is located higher than the FI?
