Well just saw my first 2013 500 xcw at north Texas KTM. Looked exactly the same as my 12 just different graphics.

Just a note . With the recent pics of after market filter location before fuel disconnect, any debris introduced into system by removal of quick connect - does not get filtered by large filter, and if oem filters are removed not filtered at all.

In theory.. you could leave the final stock inline filter in place just to protect from debris introduced when the tank is removed. If the big filter is doing its job, the final filter theoretically will never get clogged. Cheap insurance?

However I am a compitant mechanic and I beleive I ll take the ever so miniscual risk. For those that dont take a second to clean the connection prior to disconnect and to connect. Geek already has a answer.

Or you can reverse the QD or if I recall correctly the 950 Se oen is straight and us eit and put the filter on the other side. mine is staying the way it is

I need 250 KM's range. How is the 13 litre KTM tank as far as range , availability, and fit? What are my other options? I think I read that Acerbis is bringing out one as well.

    Are you ill? :huh

If I lived where you did on july 4th morning I certainly would not be on ADVRIDER at this time. I would already be out in the woods riding. :evil

Didn't see it on the HDB site, I'm guessing it's new.

Not on the site yet along with a lot of other things that Paul is making. When I conversed with him a couple weeks ago, the KTM dash protector was out of stock with another run scheduled once the adjustable submount was complete.

Get an inexpensive tubing cutter from the hardware store. Much cleaner than a hacksaw and the end will be straight. A small file will clean the inside of the bar up for handguard mounts. Start with a small piece as the bars won't grow back!

HDB all the way with stock computer. Holes in top clamp are for a Powerlet and a hand warmer switch. Two small holes are for LEDs .

I've heard you have to disconnect the signal lamp indicator lamp to fix this .I wonder if you could find an led replacement.

I had this map installed KM787EU120601(not on your list) on my bone stock 2012 500 XC-W.Got to ride it off road today for the first time. It is much slower of bottom and in to the midrange than the stock map. Which is kind of what I wanted for woods. This thing was a torque monster before and gave my severe arm pump in the tight stuff. Was also hoping for more high RPM power but it feels same as stock if not slower. No hit now anywhere in the power-band just flat from idle to rev limiter. Also installed the Trail-tech map switch and can tell absolutely no difference between the three settings. Overheating issue is much better however.

May try the 0701 map next. Wish the switch was a true map switch and I could instantly flip between the two maps I have had. Maybe when the Vortec comes out.

Hey guys just picked up my 2013 500 exc out here in calif and they shipped so early out here they(ktm) forgot to send the owners manual, guess they beat the presses? So Im changing my gearing to 14/50 as the stock was useless out here for my app in the high desert.question anyone know torgue spec for C/S sprocket bolt? If I;m a betting man 2012 500exc is the same looks like the only thing they changed were new graphix and quik connect on the tank/FI connection with the filter upgrade and if Im lucky they tinkered with the mapping to help the decel pop/flame out issues will see?thanks happy 4th!

    The KTM 13 L tank = 3.4 gal
My original OEM setup on the EXC gave 66 mpg best
With the JD Jetting box it is now 55 mpg. Their settings are slightly richer than OEM.

    Now 3.5 gal = 189 miles real.
