Can someone please tell me which akro map is correct for a 2012 ktm 690 enduro. I've added an fmf 4.1 slip-on and k/n air filter. the dealer installed a new redesigned airbox under warranty because of a backfire problem blowing off the intake boot. that's been fixed, but I'm having trouble finding the akro map so I can do some eval. I see an akro map on tuneecu for an SMC any year, but not the enduro. are these one in the same....any help would be appreciated...

Dealer should have the KTM map for the Akra. Why not have them set it up? Make sure it is the 2012 map.

I'm trying to avoid the $100 price tag the dealer charges to change maps, and I'd like to use the OBDII cable and adapter I purchased for the KTM.

Uh yes it DOES say Enduro right on the chart. Here it is copy and pasted:

KTM 690_SMC, & Enduro, all model year

Albie, thanks for taking the time to look and help out, but that's only the header for the associated maps. If you look at the first two maps after the piece you cut and pasted, you'll see the only maps that say "akro map" although they only say SMC and not Enduro. I'm thinking the SMC akro maps are the same for the Enduro models, but I wanted some confirmation. Do you happen to know if the first two will work for an Enduro?

Since you have a 2012, I wouldn't even try the older Akra maps. Not sure why they don't have the 2012 Akra on the site, but I know that the 2011 is different because they changed the sensors. You may want to use the Evo 1 map.

I compared the 2012 Evo 1 & 2012 Akra Maps in Tune ECU & they are the same.

Creddy, am I correct in assuming that the 2012 EVO 1 map, which only says SMC, is good to go for using on my Enduro? Also, I didn't see any akra maps that list a year in the file name. Maybe the one akra listed under SMC and Enduro 690 is a 2012.

If the 2012 SMC EVO 1 is ok to use on a 2012 Enduro with a slip-on and k/n filter, then I'm going to use that one....

The 690 SMC and Enduro (R) of the same year are the exact same bike in terms of engine, the only differences are in the suspension, wheels and brakes.

Great. Thanks. I figured as much but wanted to be sure. Here's another question. Once I flash the SMC EVO 1 map, is it safe to disengage the SAI and 02 sensor within the map?

The akra map, which I can't find for the 2012 model, apparently does not have SAI and 02 sensor engaged. I examined the SMC EVO 1 map and the SAI and 02 sensor are checked (engaged). I'm thinking I'd rather not have these devices checked.
