Hi there, I know this is a topic which has been addressed on a few occasions but it seems like there is still many unanswered questions. I own a 2012 ktm 690 with an FMF apex slip on and a UNI air filter. These are the only two mods to the bikes performance. It was running the akro mapping at first but it was stalling at idle before it warmed up. After taking it back to the dealer things got worse, it began stalling at low rpm usually just off the starting line in an intersection posing a safety issue now as well. The dealer ship has tried 4 different mapping yet they say the bike is still stalling on occasion. I was told today that it may be due to a lack of back pressure. I have researched the Interweb and come up with several other possible problems. ( the TPS not properly calibrated, the throttle cable itself, the clutch switch). It just seems odd that is the bike is running to lean why there is not a correct map to fix the issue. If any one has further knowledge it would be greatly appreciated. The bike is 8000ish km new and I just want my baby to run smoothly. The fmf apex pipe sure sounds excellent and the performace factor is great.
    Any suggestions will be helpful.

My Husaberg did the same thing, stalled just off an idle. Turned out to be a clogged injector.

Did the dealer install the 2012 Akra map? If not, perhaps try that. But make sure it is the 2012. It will say on the software id 2012. First, however, check for intake leaks, leak at exhaust header, and fuel injection.

Mine with a Leo Vince stalls without the baffle in, have got the Akra map installed. Once the baffle is in it runs fine.
Was told it was a back pressure problem.
