Why do the hard bags on the 650 stick out soo far no the new 2012 adventure model, they look silly to me. I went and saw one at a dealer yesterday and the bag situation just looks wrong to me??

I do prefer the look of the new ones over the older style, I do have one question.
Could they make the exhaust can any bigger?

Where did you get the DL650 Adventure graphics from? I will be getting one in the next few days and would love to switch the "S" for the decals.

looked at a 2012 "used" with 0 miles at my dealer yesterday... if they could offer the 0% financing, i'd have bought it.. i'm still thinking of a way around it.. one thought; i didn't realize how BIG these bikes are.. but i'm small and i'm coming from a naked SV650..

I picked up a 2012 DL1000 and got the 0% financing. Talk to another dealership if you are really looking at getting one.

Yes, where did you get the decals. Does an inmate make them up? Please let us know.

Yeah , I have a feeling I'm going to win the 500 million powerball lotto tonight and the first thing to buy would be a 2013 wee strom in that handsome blue paint job... I really miss my 2005 DL650...:cry

12 Metallic Fox Orange for me :D

Except I'm getting back into riding this Summer to see if my injured spine and hands can handle it before I end up spending a lot of money on something I can't even enjoy. Hoping and Praying for the best!

if all that black plasticky substance is any kin to the previous gen's black plasticky stuff, it will be a huge mass of grayish, chalky, partly-blackish nastiness in a few years.

A little Pledge, Plexus or similar treatment applied occasionally will prevent that.

Is Armor-All effective? I have it handy, and have good luck with it on switch gear over the years-

Does it work as well on the other DL plastic?

It definitely takes getting used to visually but I will say the one thing I don't like about the strom aesthetically is the three spoke wheel deal actually.
