Am finding that I'm not entirely focused on work-related matters today......
Man I'm excited!! Just put on 14/47 gearing(was15/44) and new D606's on the DRZ.
Leaving Lincoln tomorrow morning for the springs. Gonna hopefully hit Trinity Brewing for dinner/beers Thursday night. If anyone wants to join us, pm me
Happyriding is on her way, after stopping in Steamboat for some steak last night. She's planning to head down through Aspen and up over Independence on her way to Lake George. She was "wowed" by the scenery yesterday coming down to Steamboat from Laramie, I wonder what she'll say after she sees the mountains today?
All asphalt - Gorgeous ride, crazy castle. This is an all-day drive, you might even want to wake up early for this one.

These tracks include Skyline Drive.
Easy - Dirt / Asphalt - this ride will probably take most of the day

Take Boreas Pass (easy dirt) to Breck and Hoosier Pass (paved) back. A Goldwing could do this route (I've even seen one up there).
These track also include La Salle Pass which is more difficult than the rest of the route. There are tracks for an alternate way around LaSalle as well.

14/47 = 5mph first gear idle, and easy up wheelies! I can still go 80 too. WEEEEEE!!!
Sent from my fat thumbs on a small touch screen.

I'll see ya mid-day Friday.
Looking at mid-day Friday myself
Any photos of the ugly part? Doable on a big bike with TKCs?
EDIT: is it this?
EDIT #2: hell no.
I don't have any pics of that section. It's steep with fist sized loose rocks and some ruts. Like I said, we've had three 950's do it, but they were all very good riders. None of the 650 or smaller bikes have had any issues (except maybe some issues on snow/ice, but that won't be a problem for us).
No, it's not quite that bad. I think that's Pioneer Gulch or one of those others that heads over towards Redcone.
[EDIT] Now that I look at that closer, that's one of the trails down to Middle Fork. It's between Missouri Gulch and Sheep Mtn. You can access it from the top of Georgia Pass, but it's not the main trail. I actually rode that last Sunday for the first time. I took my DR350 down it. I'd like to try and go back up it some time just to prove I can, but overall it doesn't look like much fun. Later in my ride I ran into another group that came across a couple on a loaded beemer that were heading for this trail. I'd like to see pics of that ride.
I'm dropping off the tee shirts tonight, but probably won't see anyone.
