I was installing a scott oiler this weekend and had to remove the right side fuel tank, first time that I've had it off the bike. I had no issues removing it, other than the plastic hose fittings, those things seem incredibly fragile for a press fit hose nipple. Sure enough, I broke one trying to get the top hose back on, snapped the threaded portion in half, heading to the dealer this afternoon to see if they have any in stock. Is this a known weakness for these bikes? Is anyone retrofitting these plastic connectors with brass fittings?
