I saw him at Hangtown and he was impressive, flat flying through the roughest parts of the track and kept anyone else at bay easily,he is a real talent indeed.
I hope to see him smoke everyone again this year.

How do you know or why do you think he was juiced?
    Just a hunch?

After following the while LA debacle and pro cycling I wouldn't be surprised if 1/2 the pro field is or was doing PE drugs.

I know in the last few years there are more strict tests being done in MX/SX so hopefully it's being cleaned up there as it is in cycling.

Bottom line is you still have to pilot the motorcycle around the track and pedal the bicycle up those climbs.
Performance enhancing yes,but it's still not going to turn you or me into the athletes these guys are.

his facial features during his peak for one.

his ability to dominate for that long during that period in time when sports medicine was getting ever more advanced is enough to raise suspicion given his results.

I did say he MAY have been juiced, if I had to bet my life on it....I'd have to say....

It's a can of worms I don't care to open.

    I'll leave it at that.

The year before he turned pro, he would have been 2nd or 3rd in the 125 pro class at Mammoth,

    on his KX85.

If one was the others also just as much and probably more so trying to keep up.
Which means the playing field was fairly level and he still dominated.

probably and with that kind of money at stake who can blame him/them.

but lets say for arguments sake RC was juiced, maybe even just for recovery on monday mornings.

Is he still the goat over Roger DeCoster?

What makes you think Roger wasn't juiced?

And you claimed Roid-rage on CR22 for years before his Millville crash (at which point you decided he was the toughest guy ever and never mentioned the Roid claim again) so what is your opinion on Reed as a current rider and his possible P.E. drug use?

it's certainly possible Reed was and is juiced but the crash at Millville made him legendary in my book. Millville was also after the dust had cleared from JS7's last SX championship run when I was anti Reed due to all the incidents.

as far as Reed as a current rider, I think he's great. I think they are all great (with a few exceptions...) juiced or not.

I do have a problem however if the one who is deemed the goat did it with benefit of PED's because I think that nobody deserves that title and if someone does deserve it then it would have to be DeCoster not RC though RC has arguably better credentials and if RC was juiced than all bets are off. I think it's safe to say DeCoster wasn't.

it wasn't exactly prevalent in the 70s.

DeCoster is kind of like Jack Nicklaus. Somewhat same era, same level of greatness. A few could beat him in a big spot but not very often and when they did he was breathing down their necks.

Just like RC is like Tiger Woods. Same era. Blazingly dominant. And I'd bet any amount of money Woods was juiced a few years back.

Roger was a big fan of Eddie Merckx (a bicycle racer) back when he was younger. What do you think made Roger dominant all of a sudden? Was it just the works Suzuki? Or is there something more?

I didn't know you didn't see any of the SX races this year.

    </td></tr></tbody></table>
I like Stewart more this year and last year than I have in the past. But he has a lot that he has to live up to like "The fastest man on the planet". The harder he tries the more mistakes he makes. He is his biggest competition. Sure he can make a few fast laps even 8 and win a heat. But he hasn't been able to do it in the main, well he did for one.

I just don't see JS happy racing for 5th, thru 10th place. If he can't be at the top I don't see him sticking around. I think the ground work is being laid now to make an easy out. Bad knee, bad wrist, broken bone in his hand. Which I am sure is true, but all the guys out there do.

Do I want to see him go? No. Do I want to see him get hurt? No. Do I want to see him fall and the guys I want to win pass? Yes, I do.

It's been a good season, not as good as it should have been with the deep field of riders. Seems like most mains the racing is over by 10 or so laps. But it still beats watching any other sport.:deal

it's certainly possible. I'm sure the Suzuki helped at a time when he was in his prime. if it's true I'd say his records are tainted given that Ake, Bauer, Aberg, Weil, Mikkola and company probably weren't. Maybe they were. Who knows.

Do you think RC was juiced?

    bit of a contradiction.

Stewarts points standing isn't a result of getting spanked by the likes of Short and Canard, its the result of his mishaps.

How many heat races has Short won this year?
